Ron Lovan is President/CEO of the Northern Kentucky Water District and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the District. He started his career with the Kentucky Water Pollution Control Commission in the 70’s after earning both a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky. He has previously worked with the National Clay Pipe Institute and was in the consulting engineering business in Lexington, Kentucky. For the past 15 years he was General Manager of a water/wastewater utility serving the City of Thornton, a large suburb of Denver, Colorado.
Ron is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Colorado and Kentucky. He is a member of the National Society and the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Water Environment Federation, American Water Works Association and Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies. He has volunteered time with the YMCA and the National Ski Patrol and is a current member of the Chamber of Commerce and graduate of Northern Kentucky Leadership Class 2002.
