David M. Spaulding, Esq.
Treasurer

 

The Kenton County Judge Executive appointed David Spaulding to the NKWD Board of Commissioners in August 2011.  The Board voted in January 2012 for Mr. Spaulding to serve as Treasurer for a one-year term.

David Spaulding is Director of Business Development & Legal Affairs as well as Compliance Specialist at Turner Construction Company, Cincinnati, OH. Mr. Spaulding has been involved in negotiating over a billion dollars in contracts including construction of the NKU College of Informatics and the Kenton County Detention Center. Prior to his career at Turner, David was a solo practitioner primarily focused on litigation.

A lifelong Northern Kentucky resident, Mr. Spaulding graduated cum laude from Lewis College of Business at Marshall University with a Bachelor of Business degree and a minor in Economics. He received his J.D. from NKU Salmon P. Chase College of Law and is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Kentucky.

Current professional affiliations include the Board of Governors for NKU Salmon P. Chase College of Law, Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Board of Advisors, St. Elizabeth Healthcare Foundation Business Support Committee, American Inn of Court, various committees within the Ohio, Kentucky, and Northern Kentucky Bar Associations and a member of the Forum on the Construction Industry for the American Bar Association.

David's current community activities include the United Way Committee, Fine Arts Fund Committee, and the Learning for Life Planning Committee. He also volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, and The Point/ARC of Northern Kentucky. David is also an instructor at the Turner School of Construction Management for emerging Minority and Women owned businesses throughout the region and a guest lecturer at the University of Cincinnati.
