Northern Kentucky Water District Distributes Annual Water Quality Report

Cold Spring, KY - The Northern Kentucky Water District (NKWD) mailed its annual water quality report to its Kenton and Campbell County customers on May 29, 2001. This is the 18th year that the District has prepared a detailed report informing its customers about the quality of the water they receive, but this is only the third year that such a report has been required by law.

This detailed report contains technical information on water quality and shows customers how NKWD met or exceeded all standards set up by the Environmental Protection Agency under the Safe Drinking Water Act.

"Even though it was not required before 1999, NKWD has been providing customers with water quality information since 1983," said Mary Carol Wagner, water quality supervisor. "We believe it is extremely important to keep customers informed about their water quality, as well as improvements NKWD is making to the system."
