Northern Kentucky Water Service District Receives
Kentucky Public Service Commission Award
Fort Thomas, KY - The Northern Kentucky Water District (NKWD) was recognized last Tuesday by the Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC) for responsible operation of a water utility. This is the first such award for NKWD.
NKWD was presented with a Certificate of Commendation from the PSC at yesterday's regular monthly Board of Commissioners meeting. Kim Chandler, Nicky Moore and Mike Newton of the PSC presented the certificate to NKWD Board of Commissioners Chairman, Norman Veatch, who then presented it to NKWD staff.
"We're very pleased to receive this commendation," said Ron Lovan, NKWD president and CEO, upon receiving the award. "This is a true testament to the dedicated service of all our employees and the pride they take in the water service that we provide to our customers."
To earn the Certificate of Commendation, NKWD had to pass the PSC's annual inspection with no deficiencies. The inspection is comprised of a thirteen-page report evaluating all aspects of a water district's operations. Specifically, PSC investigators look at treatment and distribution facilities, construction information, customer services, metering, safety programs, financial and water records. |
