| NKWD Welcomes the Residents of the City of Ludlow
On August 31, 2000 the water system formerly owned by the City of Ludlow became part of Northern Kentucky's regional Water District. We at NKWD welcome the opportunity to serve the community of Ludlow and look forward to demonstrating the level of service the District maintains.
The District's staff has been in the City performing various system inspections in preparation for this integration. In the months to come, District vehicles and employees will become a common sight in the community as we perform maintenance to the water distribution system. It is important to us that we continue to maintain the system in the condition that it was intended so that if an event such as a mainline break should occur our crews can isolate, make repairs and reestablish water service in a timely manner.
The District's Customer Service Department has also been hard at work gathering all the pertinent information necessary to provide an easy to read, accurate water bill. Because NKWD bills its customers on a quarterly basis, Ludlow residents should receive their first bill toward the end of November or early December of this year. Our bill format will include a detailed explanation of current water usage, in time a summary of past water consumption and a return envelope. The district also offers the option to pay with Visa, MasterCard and debit cards either over the telephone or in person at the District's customer service center. From time to time our staff may take the opportunity to include along with the bill literature alerting customers of any District events or water related issues in and around the community.
