Northern Kentucky Water District Announces New CEO
The Board of Commissioners of the Northern Kentucky Water District is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Charles Ronald Lovan as the District's new Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Lovan currently serves as the Utilities General Manager for the City of Thornton, Colorado and is expected to begin his new position with the Northern Kentucky Water District in early February, 2001.
Mr. Norman Veatch, Chairman of the Northern Kentucky Water District, indicated that there were many strong candidates for the position and that the Board of Commissioners was "especially pleased to secure the services of someone with Mr. Lovan's experience and background." "We believe that Mr. Lovan possesses all of the qualities and skills necessary to lead our professional staff and District in the challenges ahead," Veatch stated.
Mr. Lovan was born in Owensboro, Kentucky and received both a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky. Prior to moving to Colorado in 1986, he worked for the Kentucky Water Pollution Control Commission as a staff engineer and with two private firms.
